What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis has been used by humanity for the earliest times to the present as a tool for improving many conditions. From performing surgery without chemical anesthesia in India, to modern day dental extractions. It is amazing and wonderful to learn to use the unconscious and conscious parts of our minds together for the most beneficial results. The conscious mind reasons and processes information, while the unconscious mind works literally. This is where habits, emotions, long term memory, attitudes and responses are found. The functions of the unconscious are benevolent, designed to keep you alive and well.
Hypnosis is a way of communicating with the subconscious mind, in order to make beneficial changes. Over time they become permanent. Furthermore, no one gives up control or is unconscious during hypnosis. In fact, they will be very aware and focused on the suggestions being made. Also, the relaxed and comfortable state reached, known as the alpha state of brain wave activity, feels very pleasant, like daydreaming. Many desired changes can be made at this level easily - from removing fears, improving skills, managing weight, becoming smoke free and much more. It's a safe, relaxing and wonderful tool for change. Hypnosis is beneficial for everyone - children, teens, adults and seniors.
What to Expect at Your First Session
Your first visit wil be exploratory, where you learn about hypnosis and become comfortable with it. Your interests and goals will be discussed to determine if hypnosis can accomplish what you want to achieve.
Following a brief assessment, a personallized program will be designed that will help you acheive your goals. Most individuals require 1 to 5 sessions to make positive changes.
