Accelerate Healing With Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave treatments are non invasive and promote accelerated recovery of acute and chronic soft tissue injuries, bone, and joint pain.
Shockwave therapy does NOT produce “shocks” to the body, instead it uses a very short energy wave that promotes healing at a cellular level. This is done by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue. In many instances, shockwave therapy is most effective in cases where the human body has not been able to heal itself on its own.
When there is a chronic issue, the problem is that there is damage in that area. And here is what Shockwave does:
Heals the area and decrease inflammation and this will decrease pain
It’s going to grow new blood supply to bring healing nutrients to the area
Stimulate your body to create stem cells. Stem cells are the blue print to build a brand-new tendon or muscle cell, this is re-growing the area, this is called regeneration.

Conditions That Can Be Treated By Shockwave Therapy
Will Shockwave Therapy Help Me?
improvement for plantar fasciitis
improvement for calcific tendonitis of the shoulder
improvement for tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
improvement for Achilles tendinopathy
relief for Myofascial Trigger Point
improvement for patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee)
improvement for hamstring injuries
The effect of the treatment is cumulative and most patients will notice an improvement within the first 1-4 sessions, some may need 6-10 sessions. Very often though, you will experience relief right after the first treatment.
Depending on the diagnosis, you may come 1-2 times per week.
Are there any restrictions after the treatment?
It’s actually recommended to be active after the session such as stretching the tissues. Depending on your case, your doctor may give you some restrictions, stretches or exercises.
Does the treatment hurt?
The treatment does not hurt. There may be a slight feeling of discomfort during the treatment, depending on the level of pain the patient is already experiencing in the area. However, since the treatment lasts only about 4-5 minutes, most patients are able to tolerate this mild discomfort. Additionally, the intensity of the treatment can be adjusted throughout the session.
How will I feel after the treatment?
Most patients will experience an immediate pain relief following the treatment. Rarely some may experience some mild soreness in the treated area (like you did a workout) as we are stimulating new cell generation and healing. This temporary soreness is tolerable and not limiting.
